Eligibility
Membership of The Association shall be open to all former members of The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of The Metropolitan Police on their retirement or resignation from the Police Service, and includes any officer who served part of his/her service in The Metropolitan Police as a CID Officer.
If you have served for a substantial period on CID duties, but not as an Accredited Detective Officer, you may also be eligible to join. The Committee will consider each such application on its merits.
All applications for membership will be decided by the Committee, which is empowered to consider any action by applicants that may render them unsuitable or bring discredit on The Association by their acceptance as members. Similarly, members who bring discredit to the Association may also be expelled.
In all cases the decision of the Committee will be final.
Subscriptions
Life Membership of the Association is obtainable on payment of £50.
